(More customer reviews)Fairly tasty -- sweet, lemony, but with a bit of a lemon bitter-y taste (e.g., zest). My biggest issue with this is that when you first pop it into your mouth, it has this weird thick gelatin-y texture to it that I do not like. That dissolves away, but it's unsettling. I love lemon, but I'm not quite as much a fan of the lemon zest flavor -- I prefer straight lemon. So, 4/5 stars.
I highly recommend the Raspberry ones: they don't have that weird texture, and just taste like candy.
These candies were recommended to me by my dental hygenist (the best one I've ever met!). Xylitol and xylitol-based products like those made by Spry are difficult to find locally (most popular-brand "xylitol" gum actually has very little xylitol in it), so I was quite happy to see these here. From what I've seen online, the only known side-effect to xylitol is a laxative effect (as compared to artificial sweeteners, which can be carcinogenic in large regular doses). I've eaten a ton of these and haven't had any problems, though, so the dosage at which the laxative effect occurs must be quite high.
